Koundé Addresses Future Amid Bayern Munich Interest

Jules Koundé's future remains a topic of interest during the summer transfer window, with Bayern Munich keeping an eye on the French defender's situation. However, the player has sent a clear message confirming his full focus on continuing with Barcelona and preparing for the new season.

According to Spanish newspaper "Sport", Koundé is under contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2030 and enjoys the trust of coach Hans Flick and the sporting management. However, the club does not rule out considering big offers as part of its efforts to generate financial revenue. They will only agree to sell the player if they receive an offer that matches his technical and market value, which is estimated to be between €50 million and €60 million.

The newspaper added that Bayern Munich made initial contacts in recent days to inquire about the player's situation, but the amount the German club is considering paying, which does not exceed €40 million, is far from Barcelona's demands. Therefore, the contacts did not turn into official negotiations.

Following the match between France and England for the third and fourth place in the World Cup, Koundé avoided discussing any potential departure, focusing entirely on his future with Barcelona, reiterating his desire to have a strong season with the Catalan side.

The French defender stated: "What I hope for is to have a great season, first getting a good amount of rest to come back stronger, have a better season, and help Barcelona as much as I can."

Koundé's statements bolster his chances of remaining with Barcelona for the time being, despite the ongoing transfer market and the possibility of changes in the near future, especially since Hans Flick emphasizes the player's importance within the team, while the club is reluctant to part with one of its top defenders unless an offer meets their financial demands.
