Al Ahly Secures Two New Signings
Ahmad Shobair has confirmed that Al Ahly has successfully secured two new signings to strengthen the first team ahead of the upcoming season, with only the official announcement remaining.
Shobeir stated in radio remarks: "Bengdida has officially signed for Al Ahly and finalized all agreements. The only thing left is the official announcement of his joining. I inquired about the player in Morocco, and everyone agreed that he is a good player."
He explained: "Al Ahly currently has Achraf Bencharki, Youssef Belahmar, along with Sofiane Benjdida, meaning a Moroccan trio in the team, alongside head coach Hussein Ammouta, who is also Moroccan."
He continued: "The transfer of player Monsef Bakar is also pending, only a few legal procedures remain, and therefore Al Ahly will not announce it officially at this time, until everything is finalized."
Shobeir pointed out that Al Ahly, after finalizing its key signings, is currently focused on acquiring a new player for the defensive midfield position, known as "Number 6." He confirmed that the management is not considering strengthening the center-back position or any other position during the current transfer window.
The coaching staff concluded their statements by confirming plans to rely on Marwan Attia and Ahmed Nabil 'Kouka' in the pivot position, with the addition of a third player in the same role. They emphasized that Al Ahly is looking to address only its technical needs this summer, avoiding the numerous signings made last season.
