Sherif Ekramy: Considering Running for Al Ahly Elections

Sherif Ekramy, the goalkeeper for Pyramids FC and former player for the Egyptian national team and Al Ahly, has confirmed that he is thinking about running in the upcoming Al Ahly club elections. He also spoke about the Red Devils and their passionate fanbase, following his announcement of retirement from football.

Ikrami stated in an interview with "On Sport" that he aims to utilize the upcoming period to hone his experiences and develop his skills, noting that the significant leap in sports media over the past two years fuels his aspirations and passion to enter this field in the future.

In discussing the fanbase comparison between clubs, Ikrami stressed that Al Ahly remains the owner of the largest fan base in Egypt, asserting that this reality cannot be denied. He also attributed the weak media coverage of Pyramids' Champions League title win to the absence of a large fanbase supporting the club.

The veteran goalkeeper spoke about his relationship with Al Ahly fans, emphasizing his great appreciation for them and his confidence in their awareness and ability to distinguish between facts and rumors.

He also opened the door to the possibility of returning to Al Ahly in the future, confirming that the club will always be his home, but he will not accept any position unless he can provide real value and contribution through it.
