Ludogorets Signs Hossam Abdel-Maguid from Zamalek
Bulgarian club Ludogorets has announced the signing of defender Hossam Abdel-Maguid from Zamalek, following the completion of an agreement between the two clubs and the finalization of all procedures related to the player's transfer during the current summer transfer window.
Ludogorets stated: "Ludogorets has signed Egyptian international Hossam Abdel-Meguid. The defender, who also captained Zamalek, one of Africa's most successful clubs, will continue his football career with the Bulgarian club, which has won the domestic league title 14 times."
The team did not disclose the transfer fee, but Egyptian media reported that the deal was completed for $1.5 million.
Hossam Abdel-Meguid participated with the Egypt national team in the 2026 World Cup, where he showcased remarkable talent and contributed to Egypt's advancement to the Round of 16 before the Pharaohs were eliminated by Argentina with a score of 3-2.
