Mbappé Sends Heartfelt Message to Deschamps

Kylian Mbappé has made a heartfelt gesture towards coach Didier Deschamps ahead of his final match in charge of the French national team, which will be against England this evening in the third-place playoff of the 2026 World Cup.

Mbappé posted a farewell message on his official Instagram account, saying: "Today is your last dance, you who gave us so much, and we should have given you a better ending, but we failed to do so."

He added: "It's very hard to find the words to describe what I have given over 14 years, as I have been one of the key contributors to the rise of this national team. Not everyone has always realized your greatness, but time and history will take care of that."

He concluded: "Thank you for giving me the opportunity and honor to represent my country on the biggest stages all these years."

He added: "I feel a great privilege to have played alongside one of the greatest legends of our country, and I will only keep the most beautiful memories of everything we lived and achieved together."

He concluded: "I wish you all the best in your new adventure, and thank you once again for everything you have given to this shirt that means so much to us."

Zinedine Zidane will take over as head coach of the French national team following Didier Deschamps' departure.
