Chelsea Firm on João Pedro's Future, Shuts Door on Barcelona

Chelsea has made its stance clear regarding the future of Brazilian striker João Pedro, emphasizing its commitment to keeping the player and having no intention of letting him go during the current summer transfer window, despite speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.

Fabrizio Romano stated via his official account on X that João Pedro is not considered a realistic option for Barcelona should the Catalan club fail to secure Argentine striker Julián Álvarez.

Romano added that Chelsea's management considers the Brazilian striker a non-transferable player this summer, effectively closing the door on any potential move from Barcelona to sign him during the current transfer window.

João Pedro is tied to a contract with Chelsea that extends until the summer of 2033, having joined the team in the summer of 2025 from Brighton.

The 24-year-old forward participated in 50 matches for Chelsea across all competitions last season, scoring 20 goals and providing 9 assists.
