Ahmed Suleiman Withdraws from Zamalek Board Meeting
Ahmed Suleiman, a member of the Zamalek club board, announced the reasons that led him to withdraw from the council meeting held on July 9, putting an end to the speculation.
Ahmed Suleiman's withdrawal from the Zamalek meeting has caused significant debate, especially given the financial crises and issues the club is working to resolve as quickly as possible.
Suleiman was asked about his withdrawal from the Zamalek board meeting, and he stated in remarks on "MBC Masr": "I prefer to discuss these matters within the board. I feel that the media has exaggerated the issue somewhat. There were matters that made me uncomfortable, so I withdrew."
He added: "What happened is normal; there was a session, and I withdrew from it, which is something that can happen. I informed the board of my position and my objections to certain matters."
He added: "As a member who received the highest votes in the elections, in the end, I am held accountable. After four years, people will hold me responsible and will question me about it. Everything I establish in the board meeting is a form of objection."
