The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected the appeal submitted by Zamalek regarding the transfer of Palestinian striker Omar Farag from Swedish club AIK to Zamalek.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued its decision to reject Zamalek's appeal, which obliges the club to pay 1.1 million dollars to AIK Stockholm. This amount represents the outstanding fees from the transfer of Palestinian striker Omar Faraj.

FIFA's Players' Status Chamber has mandated Zamalek to pay AIK Stockholm a total of $1.1 million, along with an annual interest rate of 5% on the first installment of $550,000 starting from July 1, 2025.

A similar benefit will apply to the second payment of the same amount starting from July 12, 2025, until full repayment. The decision also obliges Zamalek to pay $25,000 to FIFA for litigation costs.

Omar Farag transferred to Zamalek from Aik in a deal worth $1.1 million in the summer of 2024 before being loaned to Digerfors in January 2025 until the end of the season.
