Liverpool Officially Announces Dominik Szoboszlai Contract Renewal

Liverpool has officially renewed the contract of their Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai with a long-term deal, ahead of the 2026-2027 season, allowing him to continue his journey with the Reds that began when he joined the team from Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

Szoboszlai expressed his immense happiness with this step, saying: "This might be the biggest day of my football career, after the day I joined Liverpool and the birth of my child. I am very happy and can't wait to come back and play again. I am glad to be here."

The 25-year-old has played 147 matches for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 28 goals, and contributing to the triumph in the EFL Cup and then the Premier League title. He delivered his best individual season in 2025-2026, netting 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 53 matches, earning the title of Player of the Season as voted by the fans.

The Hungarian international confirmed that his ambition has not changed since joining the club, adding: "I want to win everything. This goal has never changed, and I also aspire to win the Champions League. I want to be a role model for everyone, and I believe I have more to offer."
