The player wrote: "Here we are at the end, the end of a dream, a dream of a little boy, and certainly the dream of thousands of people who stood behind us. We always imagine many things, and often we envision the most beautiful ones, but the end of the dream can sometimes be harsh, and waking up from it is even more bitter."

He added: "The hardest part is finding the right words to express this great disappointment. I am frustrated with myself first and foremost, and above all, I feel let down for this team, for the efforts we put in, and for this wonderful group of players."

The French player continued his remarks by thanking the fans who supported the national team throughout the tournament, saying: "I also think of everyone who traveled to support us, and of everyone who backed us from France and around the world. Despite the disappointment of elimination, the player expressed his pride in representing his country, noting that the national team still has one last goal in the tournament, saying: "I am still proud to represent our country with all its diversity and richness, and with all the people who make it up.
