John Terry Calls Messi the Greatest After England's Exit

Chelsea and England legend John Terry has praised Argentine star Lionel Messi after his outstanding display in the World Cup 2026 semi-final against England, calling him the greatest of all time.

John Terry took to Instagram to express his admiration: "Seeing this man yesterday at 39 years old was unbelievable.. He is historically the best and still delivers this performance at the highest levels. Argentina was excellent in many aspects yesterday."

The former England defender added: "I get asked this question a lot: how do you stop Messi? The answer is you can't... using physical strength against him only makes him better. He's so strong and loves the challenge and the fight; this man has it all."
