Szoboszlai Reaches Agreement with Liverpool on Contract Renewal

Liverpool is nearing an agreement to secure the future of Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, having reached a verbal agreement to extend the player's contract for five years, keeping him at Anfield until June 2031.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed via his official account on X that an agreement is in place between Liverpool and Szoboszlai, with only a few final details remaining before the contracts are signed and the official announcement is made.

Romano added that the 25-year-old Hungarian player is fully committed to Liverpool's new project under coach Andoni Iraola, and there is no intention on his part to leave the club in the near future.

Soboszlai is under contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2028, but the English club's management has moved early to extend his deal, in a move that reflects their confidence in the role he plays within the team.

The Hungarian international joined Liverpool in the summer of 2023 from RB Leipzig, and since then he has successfully established himself as a key player in the Reds' lineup.

Once the final procedures are completed and contracts are signed, Liverpool will officially announce the extension of Dominik Szoboszlai's contract until the summer of 2031, allowing the player to continue his journey with the club as part of its new sporting project.
