Ibrahim Fayek: Al Ahly Starts Course Correction Under Mansour and Abdel Hafiz
Ibrahim Fayek has clarified that Al Ahly's management is currently working on addressing and correcting some past mistakes, emphasizing that this phase requires strong support from the fans, even if the decisions lead to the departure of some of the team's star players.
Ibrahim Fayek reported during his show "Coffee with Fayek" that Yassin Mansour and Sayed Abdel Hafiz are fully aware of past mistakes that need to be corrected, and that this requires paying a certain price.
They also highlighted their need for support and assistance in this course correction journey, given their relentless efforts to restore matters to their rightful place.
Fayek added, emphasizing the necessity of achieving closeness and balance among the financial categories of the team’s players, noting that fans had previously expressed their dissatisfaction with the current situation, insisting that this is not the Al Ahly they know, and calling for the rectification of these mistakes.
The club's spokesperson clarified that Al Ahly is currently working on settling substantial financial and numerical discrepancies. This corrective process is expected to take one to two years. It is quite natural during this transitional phase for one or two key players to leave the team.
Fayek concluded his remarks by addressing the fans of the Red Castle, saying: "I want to send my message to Al Ahly fans not to feel fear or anxiety; those in charge of the club are very keen on its interests and know exactly what they are doing. What is required from you now is to provide support and assistance to them, as this is the change and reform you have always demanded."
