Saudi Clubs Earn Over 35 Million Riyals from 2026 World Cup
Saudi Pro League clubs have generated financial returns exceeding 35 million Riyals, thanks to their players' participation with their national teams in the 2026 World Cup finals, following the conclusion of the tournament.
The total bonuses reached 35,025,000 Riyals, shared among 13 Saudi clubs, after 50 players participated in the World Cup, reflecting the increasing presence of the Saudi league on the global stage.
Al Hilal topped the list of clubs with the highest earnings, having represented 12 players in the tournament, resulting in a total of 8,587,500 Riyals, significantly outpacing other clubs.
Al Ahly secured second place with a total of 6,581,250 Riyals from the participation of nine players. Meanwhile, Al Nassr came in third with earnings of 6,206,250 Riyals, while Al Qadsiah earned 4,125,000 Riyals after the participation of six players.
The Union received 2,718,750 Riyals from the participation of four players. Meanwhile, Al-Najma and Al-Ittifaq shared good returns after each fielded two players, alongside varying bonuses for the other clubs.
The clubs Al-Fateh, Al-Shabab, Al-Fayha, Al-Ula, Neom, and Abha each featured one player, resulting in revenue ranging from 618,750 to 881,250 riyals, with Abha recording the lowest income.
These figures confirm the growing status of the Roshen League, which now includes a significant number of international stars. This has positively impacted financial returns, along with the technical and marketing gains achieved by Saudi clubs on the international stage.
