Zidane Set to Take Over France National Team
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the French Football Federation plans to finalize all official documents with legend Zinedine Zidane after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.
According to Romano, Zidane has not studied any other offers over the past eight months, as his focus has been entirely on taking over as head coach of the France national team, awaiting the completion of official procedures.
These developments come just hours after the French national team exited the World Cup semi-finals following a 2-0 defeat to Spain, a match that concluded the 'Les Bleus' campaign in the tournament.
Reports indicate that the French Football Federation is preparing to finalize an agreement with Zinedine Zidane for a contract that will extend until the 2030 World Cup.
If the contracts are signed officially, this will be the first time Zidane takes charge of the French national team, after achieving exceptional success as the coach of Real Madrid.
