Al Riyadh Close to Securing Trezeguet Transfer
Ahmed Shobair, the renowned sports journalist, has confirmed that Al Riyadh is nearing the completion of a deal to acquire Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, the Egyptian star from Al Ahly, during the ongoing summer transfer window. He noted that negotiations have reached a very advanced stage.
Shobair announced that there are strong positive indicators supporting Trezeguet's transfer to Al Riyadh, mentioning in radio statements that negotiations are progressing successfully with Al Ahly's management, according to the Saudi club's president, Bandar Al-Muqail.
Sources within Al Ahly have confirmed to Shobair that matters are heading in the right direction, and that the club's officials are close to reaching an official agreement that would allow the player to move to the Saudi league, with the transfer procedures expected to be completed in the coming days.
He explained that Trezeguet's strong desire to leave Al Ahly stems from significant psychological and media pressures; the player faced intense criticism from fans throughout the last season, which led to feelings of frustration, especially as he believes he has given his all and never fell short in his duties to the team.
On the financial side, the ongoing comparisons regarding his contract value and salary have added to the pressure he has faced recently, prompting him to prefer the attractive and stable financial offer from Al Riyadh.
Shobair concluded his statements by emphasizing that Trezeguet sees the move to the Saudi league as an ideal opportunity to escape the current pressures and regain his form, and he is now just waiting for the approval of Al Ahly's board to finalize the deal, paving the way for his new journey.
