New Liverpool manager Andoni Eiraola has confirmed that midfielder Harvey Elliott will be included in the team's plans during the pre-season, emphasizing his admiration for the player's enthusiasm following a challenging loan spell.

In his first press conference since taking over at Liverpool, Eiraola stated: "Harvey is with us now, and I have seen him very eager to prove himself and prepare in the best way. He will get his chance in pre-season, and we will need him, which is a positive thing. I hope to see him at his best and that he benefits from the tough experience he went through to become more determined to succeed in a Liverpool shirt."

Elliott spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, but he only played for 109 minutes as the club avoided using him sufficiently due to a clause in the loan agreement that required Aston Villa to buy him for £35 million upon reaching a certain number of appearances.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery previously admitted that the situation was "embarrassing" for everyone, apologizing to the player for its impact on his development, while Elliott now hopes to reclaim his place at Liverpool under Eiraola, who is preparing to build his team for the new season.
