Hani Hathout reported a crisis at Zamalek due to unpaid wages for foreign players, who are insisting on settling their financial dues before participating in training for the new season. The club's management is currently working to secure the necessary funds this week to resolve the issue. Hathout stated on his Facebook page that Zamalek prioritizes the payments to foreign players due to their quick resort to legal action and termination warnings in case of delays, unlike local players who show more flexibility and patience in this matter. He mentioned that Zamalek players have only received half of their dues from the last season, and the management has not yet paid them the bonus for winning the league, which was fully paid by Mandooh Abbas, the honorary president of the club. Hathout added that the club recently experienced a financial breakthrough after receiving an advance of £100 million from the real estate developer for the club's land, noting that part of this amount will be directed to settle the dues of foreign players, coinciding with the upcoming official announcement of the new football company details.
