Sofiane Benjdida Rejects Al Ahly Despite Wydad's Approval
Sofiane Benjdida, the Moroccan player from Wydad, continues to reject the opportunity to join Al Ahly, despite the club's persistent efforts to secure his signature during the current transfer window. According to journalist Jamal El Ghandour, Al Ahly's management has intensified negotiations recently, taking advantage of Wydad's willingness to sell his contract and their acceptance of the offer. However, the player's own desire remains the only obstacle to his refusal to play in the Egyptian league at this time. El Ghandour also noted that head coach Hussein Amouta is making significant efforts to persuade Benjdida to accept Al Ahly's offer, believing that the player possesses the technical abilities that meet the team's aspirations in the upcoming period, and he is one of the preferred and convincing names for the coaching staff. Furthermore, Al Ahly's management remains hopeful and has not closed the deal entirely, continuing to apply pressure to change the player's stance, relying on the strong relationship between Hussein Amouta and the player, as well as with Moroccan football in general, in hopes of reaching an agreement soon.
