Inter Milan Eyeing John Stones Amid Benjamin Pavard Exit Rumors
Inter Milan is considering English defender John Stones as part of their defensive options during the current summer transfer window, in anticipation of a possible departure of Frenchman Benjamin Pavard from the squad.
According to "Sport Italia," Inter's management has reached out to Stones to assess the possibility of signing him, noting that the player is not the primary option to strengthen the center-back position, but rather a viable choice should Pavard leave the team during the summer transfer market.
The report added that Inter intends to sign defenders in the center-back position this summer as part of their plan to bolster the backline ahead of the new season.
John Stones left Manchester City at the end of last season after his contract expired, making him available on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard has returned to Inter Milan this summer after completing his loan spell with Olympique Marseille, while the team has bid farewell to Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and Matteo Darmian following the expiration of their contracts.
