Laporta Confirms Adeyemi Deal, Addresses Raphinha's Future

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed to the media that the club has signed German winger Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, expressing his great satisfaction with the completion of the deal.

Laporta stated in comments relayed by journalist Fabrizio Romano regarding the signing of Adeyemi: "We are very happy. He is a player we have been following for a long time, Adeyemi is very fast, an excellent player. Deco did an excellent job."

He also addressed Raphinha's future, especially with the arrivals of Gordon and Adeyemi: "We do not want Raphinha to leave. He is a key player for us, the presence of Gordon and Adeyemi is not related to Raphinha, and it does not mean that Rafa will leave."

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona has reached a final agreement with Borussia Dortmund to acquire the player for €22 million plus €7 million in performance-related variables.

Romano noted that Adeyemi only wanted to move to Barcelona, where he will sign a five-year contract with the Catalan club.

The Catalan club is expected to officially announce the deal in the coming days, after completing the final procedures and medical examinations for the player.
