Ahmed Fattouh Praises Hossam Hassan's Tactical Preparation

Ahmed Fattouh, star of Zamalek and the Egyptian national team, highlighted that head coach Hossam Hassan has been meticulously studying the opponents of the "Pharaohs" ahead of the 2026 World Cup. He also commented on the own goal scored by Mohamed Hani in the match against Australia. In statements to MBC Masr, Fattouh said: "Captain Hossam leaves no detail overlooked during training or lectures; he studies each team thoroughly so we can understand the strengths and weaknesses of every opponent." He added: "Between each half of the match, Hossam Hassan uses clips from performance analyst Mahmoud Selim to review notes and correct mistakes." Fattouh continued: "Mohamed Hani is a great player and doesn't let criticism affect him. We haven't spoken to him after the Australia goal because it's a normal occurrence; any player can make mistakes. I used to like Messi, but not anymore after his match against us." He concluded: "Zico is a strong player in training, but he also showed his quality in matches. We knew Haitham Hassan would shine in games because it was evident in training as well, but there was an issue that hindered his participation."
