Barcelona Set for Major Offensive Overhaul
Barcelona is entering the summer transfer market with extensive changes in their attacking line, as this position has become a priority for the club. Currently, Lamine Yamal is the only player guaranteed to continue in the attacking project for the new season.
According to Spanish newspaper "Marca", Barcelona has started the transfer window with a plan to sign a replacement for Robert Lewandowski and strengthen their defense. However, recent developments have shifted the focus to the attack, following Lewandowski's departure after his contract ended, and the conclusion of Marcus Rashford's loan without activating the purchase option. Meanwhile, the futures of Raphinha, Rony Bardhi, and Ferran Torres remain uncertain.
On the other hand, the club has bolstered its attack by signing Anthony Gordon, and an official announcement regarding the Karim Adeyemi deal is expected next week after finalizing terms with Borussia Dortmund. Barcelona is also pursuing Julian Alvarez, who is the club's top target during this transfer window.
The report indicates that Rony Bardhi faces strong competition for his position with Lamine Yamal's emergence and the imminent arrival of Adeyemi, which may lead both parties to discuss his future during the pre-season. Raphinha continues to express his desire to stay, despite interest from several clubs in acquiring his services.
Marca added that Paris Saint-Germain is still monitoring Ferran Torres' situation, whose contract runs until 2027. The anticipated competition with Julian Alvarez, should the deal go through, could complicate his chances of securing a starting spot in the team.
The report confirmed that Barcelona has already made an initial offer to Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez and is working to finalize the deal despite its complexity and high value, as part of the effort to reshape the team's attacking line according to coach Hans Flick's vision.
