Sharjah Signs Laba Kodjo on Two-Year Deal
The UAE's Sharjah FC has officially signed Togolese international striker Laba Kodjo on a free transfer, with a contract lasting two years, after his stint with Al Ain. One of the top scorers in the UAE Pro League continues his career in the ADNOC Pro League wearing the "King" jersey.
The signing comes after Laba's contract with Al Ain ended, as the player opted for a new challenge after seven seasons with the "Boss," during which he established himself as one of the best strikers in the club's history, becoming the all-time top scorer for Al Ain with 171 goals across all competitions.
Sharjah is counting on the experience of the 34-year-old Togolese forward to lead the attack next season, especially after his impressive performances during his years with Al Ain, which included several individual and team titles, along with his notable scoring presence in the ADNOC Pro League.
Laba Kodjo's transfer is one of the standout deals of the summer in UAE football, as Sharjah continues to strengthen its squad with experienced players in its quest to compete fiercely for domestic and continental titles in the upcoming season.
