Liverpool Joins Manchester United in Pursuit of Manu Kone

Liverpool has entered the race to sign French midfielder Manu Kone, the Roma star, competing with Manchester United for his signature during the summer transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool has rekindled its interest in the player, who has been on their radar for years, after impressing with his performances at Roma and shining for France in the 2026 World Cup.

The report adds that Manchester United made initial inquiries about Kone following the collapse of the deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, but Liverpool is now ready to make a strong push for the transfer.

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola aims to strengthen the midfield, alongside bolstering the defense and searching for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, as part of his plans to develop the team ahead of the new season.

Kone is known for his versatility in midfield, with an estimated market value of around €55 million, making him one of the top targets for major clubs this summer.
