Bouftini Ignites Moroccan Transfer Market
Moroccan international Soufiane Bouftini has become one of the most sought-after names in the summer transfer market, as several clubs in the Botola Pro "Inwi" are vying for his services ahead of the new football season.
According to reports, Royal Army, Raja Casablanca, Wydad Casablanca, and FUS Rabat are in a fierce competition to sign the Moroccan national team defender, who has decided to return to the national league after a successful professional stint in the Qatari and Emirati leagues.
During his professional career, Bouftini played for Al Ahli in Qatar and Al Wasl in the UAE, where he delivered impressive performances that made him one of the standout Moroccan defenders in the Gulf leagues.
Before embarking on his professional journey, the 30-year-old wore the jerseys of Raja Beni Mellal and Hassania Agadir, before catching the eye with the Moroccan U23 team, contributing to their victory in the African Nations Championship "CHAN" in 2021, and then the Arab Cup in 2025.
Bouftini also made his debut with the senior Moroccan national team, participating in a friendly match against Burundi as part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The Moroccan defender is considered one of the top names in the center-back position, which explains the interest from major clubs in the Botola Pro to sign him, as he is expected to finalize his official destination during the current summer transfer window.
