Spanish defender Din Hausen enters the new season with high hopes of regaining his best form with Real Madrid, following a first season that fell short of expectations, which ended with his exclusion from Spain's squad for the 2026 World Cup.

According to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the 21-year-old Hausen started his journey with Real Madrid strongly, showcasing impressive performances under Xabi Alonso during the Club World Cup, before his form gradually declined, leading to his omission from coach Luis de la Fuente's World Cup roster.

The newspaper added that the young defender is focused on regaining his usual level to reclaim his spot in the Spanish national team, while also contributing to Real Madrid's success in the 2026/2027 season.

Furthermore, the same source indicated that the arrival of José Mourinho as Real Madrid's coach could represent an important opportunity for Hausen, as he previously worked under the Portuguese manager in Rome, where Mourinho was instrumental in bringing him in from Juventus and praised his potential, believing he has what it takes to become one of the best defenders in the future.

Despite this confidence, Hausen faces strong competition for his position with Antonio Rüdiger, Éder Militão, and Ibrahima Konaté currently ahead of him in the defensive hierarchy, making his participation dependent on his ability to impress Mourinho during the pre-season.

The report noted that Hausen will begin his training with Real Madrid starting Monday, which may give him an advantage in preparing for the new season compared to some of his teammates engaged in international duties, in an effort to reclaim his place within the team and the national squad.
