Adeyemi Misses Dortmund Training Ahead of Barcelona Move

German forward Karim Adeyemi is one step closer to joining Barcelona after missing the start of Borussia Dortmund's preparations for the new season, as final procedures for the transfer continue.

Borussia Dortmund announced on Sunday that Adeyemi, 24, did not attend the usual medical examinations before the start of the training period, alongside teammate Kilian Fischer. The club stated in its official announcement that the players are exempt from attendance due to ongoing discussions with other clubs.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Adeyemi's transfer to Barcelona is awaiting the finalization of contract details, paving the way for an official announcement.

The report added that the player is expected to travel to Barcelona next week as part of the transfer process to the Catalan club.

Additionally, the agreement between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund stipulates Adeyemi's transfer for a fixed fee of €22 million, plus €7 million in variables to be paid if the player contributes to achieving specific sporting objectives.
