Al Ahly Continues Negotiations for Diabaté Deal
Hani Hathout has reported updates on Al Ahly's negotiations with Ivorian striker Diabaté, confirming that the player has agreed to reduce his financial demands. This move aims to expedite his transfer to the Red Castle during the current transfer window.
Al Ahly's renewed interest in signing Diabaté is part of their strategy to strengthen their attacking line for the new season. These efforts are in response to the team's struggles with goal-scoring throughout the last season.
Hathout mentioned on his personal Facebook account the details of the financial disagreement, noting that Diabaté initially requested $2 million annually, while Al Ahly's offer was $1 million. The player has now agreed to lower his demands to $1.5 million.
Additionally, Al Ahly's management has reopened discussions with the player after receiving confirmations regarding the team's participation in the CAF Champions League, indicating that an official announcement may be made in the coming days.
