Flick Shapes Barcelona's New Attack: Speed and Flexibility Top Priorities
Barcelona continues to bolster its attacking line during the summer transfer window, following the vision of coach Hans Flick, which focuses on building a fast and dynamic attack.
According to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the club has finalized the signing of Anthony Gordon and reached a verbal agreement with Borussia Dortmund for Karim Adeyemi, while Julian Alvarez remains the main target after the World Cup.
The report indicates that Flick is concentrating on signing players who possess the flexibility to occupy multiple attacking positions, alongside speed, high pressing, and the ability to make a difference against opponents.
The German coach aims to implement an attacking style based on high pressing and constant positional interchange, providing the team with diverse attacking solutions and making it harder to stop.
The report clarified that Gordon and Adeyemi are capable of playing in all attacking positions, while Raphinha and Lamine Yamal share the same flexibility, with Ferran Torres' future linked to a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Furthermore, the same source noted that Julian Alvarez impresses Flick as he does not limit himself to a traditional striker role but excels at moving between lines, participating in build-up play, and playing on the flanks.
The Spanish newspaper highlighted that Barcelona continues to work on completing its attacking project, hoping to finalize the Julian Alvarez deal to enhance its chances of competing for the UEFA Champions League title.
