Juventus is set to start its preparations for the 2026-2027 season on Monday under new coach Luciano Spalletti, but the team will enter the first training camp with a squad missing most of its key players, despite 22 players attending on the first day.

The camp will include three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and five forwards, but many of them are returning from loans or were not part of the team's plans last season. Players who participated in the 2026 World Cup, such as Bremer, Francisco Conceição, Jonathan David, Nico González, Teun Koopmeiners, Weston McKennie, and Kean Yildiz, will miss out after receiving extended breaks.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spalletti will initially rely on a limited number of players who were key to the team at the end of last season, including Pierre Kalulu, Lloyd Kelly, and Andrea Cambiaso, alongside Manuel Locatelli and Khephren Thuram. Jeremy Boga is expected to return to his natural position as a winger after being used as a false nine recently.

The Italian coach hopes that the upcoming period will see the return of the remaining key players before the Asian tour in early August, along with the signing of 4 or 5 new players, particularly in the goalkeeper and striker positions, to reshape the team ahead of the new season.
