FC Barcelona has ensured a representative in the 2026 World Cup final for the fifth consecutive time, following Spain's 2-1 victory over Belgium in the semifinals, confirming the presence of the Catalan club's players in the global tournament's final.

According to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the Spanish national team features eight Barcelona players: Juan García, Eric García, Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres, and Lamine Yamal. They will face France in the semifinals, which includes Barcelona defender Jules Koundé, ensuring at least one player from the Catalan side will be in the final scheduled for July 19.

The last World Cup final without a Barcelona player was in the 2006 edition in Germany, when Italy faced France for the title. Since then, the club has maintained a presence in every final match.

The 2010 final in South Africa saw eight Barcelona players crowned champions with Spain, while Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano represented the club in the 2014 final in Brazil with Argentina. Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembélé were champions with France in the 2018 final in Russia, and both Dembélé and Koundé participated in the 2022 final in Qatar.

The number of Barcelona players in the current final will be determined after Spain's match against France in the semifinals, scheduled for July 14.

There is also a chance to increase Barcelona's representation in the final, as the England national team includes player Anthony Gordon, who will face Norway in the quarterfinals. If England reaches the final, it could see Barcelona players competing on both sides for the title.
