Real Madrid Sets Date to Finalize Vinicius Contract Renewal

Real Madrid has begun efforts to finalize the contract renewal of their Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, following Brazil's participation in the 2026 World Cup, in a move aimed at ensuring the player's continued presence with the team in the coming years.

Vinicius' contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2027, but renewal negotiations have stalled for several months due to disagreements between the parties, despite the player's desire to continue his journey at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that Real Madrid's management was keen to resolve this matter before the player enters the final year of his contract, to avoid the possibility of him leaving for free, with the option of a sale remaining as a last resort if an agreement cannot be reached.

The newspaper added that the club had previously agreed to postpone any negotiations until after Brazil's World Cup participation, which allowed communications to resume immediately after the team's exit from the tournament.

The same source confirmed that representatives from Real Madrid and Vinicius' agents have agreed to hold a meeting at the end of July, before the start of the new season's preparation period, to discuss all details of the new contract.

The report indicated that both parties have expressed a clear desire to reach a final agreement that ensures Vinicius' contract extension and his continued presence at Real Madrid, with the upcoming meeting expected to fully resolve the matter.
