Roma Eyes Chelsea's Garnacho Amid Transfer Talks

Alejandro Garnacho has returned to Roma's interest during the summer transfer window, as the Italian club aims to bolster its attacking options, while reports vary regarding the potential deal with Chelsea.

Roma's interest in the player comes after a season that did not meet expectations at Chelsea, where he scored eight goals and provided four assists in 43 official matches, starting in only 22 of them. He joined the London club from Manchester United for €46.2 million, despite being close to a move to Napoli earlier.

According to "Football Italia," Chelsea has put Garnacho up for sale but is unwilling to agree to a loan with a purchase option, insisting on a permanent transfer only, which does not align with Roma's current position.

Meanwhile, journalist Alfredo Pedulla confirmed that Roma is ready to allocate €40 million, originally intended for signing Marseille's winger Mason Greenwood, to secure Garnacho on a permanent basis.

Napoli is also monitoring the player's situation, but their financial capabilities do not allow for a permanent transfer this window.
