Manchester City Signs Pearce Charles and Loans Him to QPR
Manchester City has officially announced the signing of young goalkeeper Pearce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday on a five-year contract, continuing the club's investment in promising talents.
The English club confirmed that Charles has signed all transfer documents, making him a formal player for Manchester City after reaching an agreement with Sheffield Wednesday to complete the deal.
At the same time, Manchester City clarified that the 21-year-old goalkeeper will spend the 2026-2027 season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, a competitor in the EFL Championship, to gain more playing time and experience.
This move is part of Manchester City's plan to develop young players, as Pearce Charles embarks on a new experience in the Championship before returning to the club, with his contract with City lasting until the summer of 2031.
