Ahly and Zizo Set for Salary Reduction Talks
Media personality Amir Hisham revealed an upcoming meeting between Ahly officials and Ahmed Sayed "Zizo" to discuss a reduction in his annual salary in line with the financial wage cap at the club. The aim of the meeting is to find common ground and reach a contractual agreement that suits both parties.
Amir Hisham confirmed on the "Modern Sports" program aired on "Modern Mti" channel that the issue of reducing Zizo's contract remains a top priority for Ahly; the football management intends to open direct negotiations with the player to clarify his situation. He noted that if Zizo agrees, he will continue with the team, but if he refuses, the management will consider available external offers.
He also questioned how Zizo's refusal to reduce his salary would affect his chances of being a regular starter for Ahly in the new season, and whether the decision would shift from a financial aspect to a technical one on the pitch.
Additionally, he referenced the case of star "Trezeguet," who earned double Zizo's current salary, emphasizing that the club's management has already begun implementing strict measures to reorganize and regulate the team's salary cap without exceptions for any player.
