Juventus Sets Conditions for Vlahovic's Return After Contract Expiry

Juventus has expressed its willingness to re-sign Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic following the expiration of his contract, but the club's management insists on finalizing any agreement under the conditions set by new CEO Giovanni Carnevali, as the player remains without a club since the end of June.

According to Italian newspaper "Tuttosport," Vlahovic has become open to the idea of returning to Juventus after his contract officially ended on June 30, following failed negotiations that lasted over a year to renew his deal during the tenure of former CEO Damien Comolli.

The Serbian forward was earning the highest salary in Serie A during his last season with Juventus, with a net salary of around €12 million annually. The club had initially stipulated that he must agree to a pay cut in order to reach a new agreement, which did not happen, leading to the expiration of his contract and his status as a free agent.

The report noted that Vlahovic has only received one official offer from Besiktas so far, but he is not keen on moving to the Turkish league at this stage of his career, prompting him to personally reach out to Juventus management to discuss the possibility of returning to the team.

Tuttosport added that Juventus is open to the player's return but requires a salary reduction to around €6 million per year, aligning him with the club's highest earners currently, Kenan Yildiz and Jonathan David. The management also refuses to grant any large bonuses or commissions to the player's father, who acts as his agent.

The report confirmed that Juventus management also wants to see a change in Vlahovic's behavior, after he faced criticism for what the club perceived as a degree of arrogance during his last season with the Bianconeri, which they consider a key condition for his return to the team.
