Brazilian midfielder Ederson, currently with Atalanta, is on the verge of completing his transfer to Manchester United after it was decided he would undergo a second medical examination following his participation in the 2026 World Cup, despite the controversy surrounding the deal in recent days.

According to "Football Italia," Manchester United had previously reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign Ederson for €45 million, which includes €40.5 million as a fixed fee and an additional €4.5 million in bonuses, but the official procedures were not completed due to the player's commitment to the World Cup.

The report indicated that Ederson had already undergone an initial medical examination in the United States while with the Brazilian national team, but Manchester United's management wants to conduct additional tests in England by the club's medical staff before giving final approval to complete the transfer.

After Brazil's exit from the tournament, the 27-year-old player is expected to travel to England in the coming days for the second medical examination, paving the way for his move to Old Trafford.
