Discrepancies Over Emiliano Martinez Transfer Value Between Juventus and Aston Villa
Negotiations between Juventus and Aston Villa for Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez are seeing varying reports, with a clear difference regarding the financial value required to complete the transfer during the summer window.
According to "Football Italia," Martinez, who is currently preparing to participate with the Argentina national team against Switzerland in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup, is open to moving to Juventus, having been impressed by the offer from the Italian club, both financially and in terms of the sporting project.
The report added that journalist "Gianluca Di Marzio," via "Sky Sport Italia," confirmed that Aston Villa's financial demands have decreased from €15 million to between €6 and €7 million, which could facilitate negotiations between the two parties.
Conversely, "Football Italia" noted that "Fabrizio Romano" denied these reports, asserting that Aston Villa does not intend to sell Martinez for that amount, and the English club prefers to retain the goalkeeper, whose contract runs until June 2029, unless they receive an offer that matches his value.
The same source added that Aston Villa is considering Ziyon Suzuki, the Parma and Japan national team goalkeeper, as a top option to replace Martinez should he leave, noting that the goalkeeper is also attracting interest from Leeds United.
