Manchester United Prepares First Bid for Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton
Manchester United is set to make its opening offer for young Portuguese striker Matheus Nunes of Wolverhampton during the summer transfer window, as the club has identified him as a key target to strengthen its attacking line with young talent.
According to reports, United intends to gauge Wolverhampton's stance with an initial bid estimated at around £20 million, but the "Wolves" management is reluctant to sell the player and has set a price close to £35 million for his departure.
Nunes, who is 18 years old, is considered one of the brightest emerging talents in English football and has attracted the attention of several clubs following his impressive season, including Liverpool, which is also monitoring the player's development, potentially igniting competition for his signature this summer.
Despite Manchester United's serious interest, Wolverhampton is keen to keep the player as part of its future project and will only agree to sell him if an offer meets their financial demands, while new developments in the negotiations are expected in the coming days.
