Amir Hossam revealed the latest updates regarding the head coach situation at Zamalek, confirming that the club was surprised by the announcement from Kuwait SC about their signing of coach Alexander Santos, with whom Zamalek was in negotiations to lead the team. He stated on the Modern Sports program aired on Modern Mti: "Zamalek's football management, led by John Edward, is currently working on hiring a foreign coach, but for now, Moataz Gamal is still in the picture to lead the team, although the situation remains unclear as they continue to search for a foreign coach." He added that Zamalek's management had officially negotiated with Alexander Santos, and expectations were high for a potential signing, but Kuwait SC managed to finalize the deal quickly. He concluded: "Moataz Gamal has not been informed of anything yet, and Zamalek will engage in further negotiations with several foreign coaches."
