Barcelona in Advanced Talks to Sign Karim Adeyemi

Barcelona has entered advanced negotiations with Borussia Dortmund to sign German forward Karim Adeyemi during the summer transfer window.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," citing sources close to the player, Adeyemi is not interested in renewing his contract, which expires on June 30, 2027, and his only desire is to move to Barcelona. This has made Borussia Dortmund open to selling him this summer to avoid losing him for free at the end of his contract.

The report added that coach Hansi Flick supports the signing of the player, noting that Adeyemi's recent decline in appearances for Dortmund is due to his stance on renewing his contract, as the club prefers to rely on players willing to stay, which has also led to his exclusion from the Germany national team participating in the World Cup.

Adeyemi is known for his ability to play on both the right and left wings, as well as the striker position, making him a suitable option given the potential departure of Rony Bardghji, alongside the changes in Barcelona's attacking line.

Despite Barcelona's interest in signing Adeyemi, securing Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid remains the club's top priority, while the arrival of Adeyemi, along with Anthony Gordon, could provide the management with more calm in handling this matter.

During four seasons with Borussia Dortmund, Karim Adeyemi has played 146 matches, scoring 36 goals and providing 25 assists, and has also participated in 11 international matches with the Germany national team, scoring one goal.
