Hossam Hassan's Contract Extended by Egyptian Football Association
Hani Abou Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, announced that the board has agreed to extend Hossam Hassan's contract as head coach of the national team. This decision reflects the board's commitment to continue the technical project for the national team and build on the historical achievements of Egyptian football in recent times.
The President of the Association stated that the board will complete the procedures for the contract renewal during its next meeting, which will take place once the national team returns home.
Under Hossam Hassan's leadership, Egypt delivered strong performances in the World Cup, finishing second in Group G with five points, behind Belgium, after drawing with Belgium and Iran and defeating New Zealand 3-1.
The Pharaohs continued their impressive run by eliminating Australia in the Round of 32 via penalties, before their commendable journey ended with a loss to defending champions Argentina in the Round of 16.
