Bashir El-Tabaei Praises Hossam Hassan's Vision and Strong Team Building
Bashir El-Tabaei, former star of Zamalek and the Egyptian national team, praised Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, following the Pharaohs' strong performance in the 2026 World Cup, highlighting Hassan's skill in player selection and team development.
El-Tabaei stated on the "Number One" program on CBC: "Hossam Hassan has always surprised us with his tactical ideas and style of play against every opponent since the start of the tournament, and the team's performance improved from match to match."
He added: "Hossam Hassan has a unique vision in player selection, achieving a 99% success rate in his choices, successfully building a strong system, discovering Haitham Hassan during the tournament, and showcasing Karim Hafez and Mostafa Ziko impressively, while also rediscovering Marwan Attia."
He continued: "The referee wronged the Egyptian team by disallowing a legitimate goal and awarding a penalty that affected the course of the match."
El-Tabaei concluded his remarks: "No one is angry with Hossam Hassan because he gave everything he had, and God willing, the future will be better for the Egyptian national team."
