Walid Regragui in the running to coach Jordan's national team
Moroccan coach Walid Regragui has emerged as a candidate to lead Jordan's national team, following reports of his potential succession of Moroccan coach Jamal Salami at the helm of the "Nashama".
According to media reports, Regragui's name has surfaced among the options presented to the Jordanian Football Association, benefiting from the reputation he gained after leading the Moroccan national team to the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The same source indicated that the Moroccan coach received an initial proposal through his agent, but communications have not yet progressed to the stage of formal negotiations, and no final agreement has been reached between the parties.
Regragui is highly regarded in the Arab and African football scenes due to his recent successes, making him one of the top candidates to continue the approach adopted by the Jordanian national team, which has previously been led by both Hussein Ammouta and Jamal Salami.
