Brazilian Federation Confirms Ancelotti's Future
The Brazilian Football Confederation has clarified the future of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, confirming his continued leadership of the national team despite an early exit from the 2026 World Cup.
Brazil was eliminated in the Round of 16 after losing 2-1 to Norway, extending the drought for the World Cup title since their last victory in 2002, raising questions about Ancelotti's future with the team.
Despite these doubts, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Ancelotti and the Brazilian federation have reached an agreement to honor the existing contract and continue the technical project without any changes.
The Brazilian federation had renewed the Italian coach's contract weeks ago, ensuring he will remain in his position until the 2030 World Cup, where he will lead the rebuilding phase of the team, while also preparing for the 2028 Copa America.
