Mourinho Set to Arrive in Madrid

Reports indicate that Portuguese coach José Mourinho will arrive in the Spanish capital, Madrid, on Friday evening, preparing to officially start his role as head coach of Real Madrid ahead of the new season.

According to journalist Pepe Álvarez, Mourinho will lead his first training sessions with the team on Monday, July 13, which marks the start of the preparation period, beginning with medical examinations for the players before training commences at the Valdebebas sports complex.

Real Madrid will gradually welcome back its international players participating in the 2026 World Cup, according to their national teams' exit schedules from the tournament, with the coaching staff aiming to prepare all players before the season kicks off.

Real Madrid has bolstered its squad with several key signings during the summer transfer window, including Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva, and Denzel Dumfries, as part of the club's project to compete strongly for all titles next season.

It is worth noting that Mourinho's contract with Real Madrid extends until the summer of 2029.
