Bayern Munich has announced the promotion of young striker Arijon Ibrahimovic to the first team under coach Vincent Kompany as they prepare for the new season, following his return from a loan spell at Heidenheim. The 20-year-old will wear the number 22 shirt, with his contract extending until the summer of 2028.

Sporting director Christoph Freund confirmed that Ibrahimovic is a successful model for the talent development pathway at Bayern Munich, noting that he joined the club's academy at the age of twelve and progressed through all levels before gaining valuable experience during loan spells, particularly with Heidenheim, and is now ready to prove himself with the first team.

Ibrahimovic had previous loan experiences in Serie A with Frosinone and Lazio before moving to Heidenheim, and he made his debut for Bayern Munich in February 2023 against Bochum when he was just seventeen years old.

Last season, Ibrahimovic participated in 34 official matches with Heidenheim, scoring two goals and providing five assists. He also made his debut for the Germany U21 national team last November, playing two matches so far, reflecting his continued development on both domestic and international levels.
