Real Betis Intensifies Negotiations for Fran Garcia

Real Betis continues its efforts to sign left-back Fran Garcia from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, as the player is nearing an exit from the royal club following the signing of Marc Cucurella.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Real Betis has already initiated contact with Real Madrid to discuss the possibility of completing the transfer, with the royal club asking for around €10 million to part with the player.

The Andalusian club is trying to lower the transfer fee, as they believe that the requested amount, along with Fran Garcia's annual salary of approximately €5 million, makes finalizing the deal under the current conditions financially challenging.

The newspaper added that Fran Garcia is open to the idea of moving to Real Betis, and the club is keen on signing him, but the financial gap remains the main obstacle to completing the transfer.

Nevertheless, Real Betis is not closing the door on the deal, as they continue to work on it quietly in hopes of reaching a satisfactory agreement for all parties in the near future.
