Vlahovic Delays Future Decision, Waiting for Barcelona
Dusan Vlahovic has decided to delay a decision on his future during the summer transfer window, freezing negotiations with Besiktas as he waits to see what happens after the World Cup, prioritizing a move to Barcelona.
According to Spanish newspaper "Sport," Vlahovic, whose contract with Juventus has expired, received a three-year offer from Besiktas but preferred to wait for a potential offer from the Catalan club, indicating he is willing to lower his financial demands if he receives an official bid.
Meanwhile, his continuation with Juventus seems unlikely, as contract renewal talks have reached an impasse after he rejected an offer that included a 50% salary cut, with no new developments between the parties.
The report added that Deco, Barcelona's sporting director, informed the player that he is not a priority in the transfer market but could become a backup option if primary deals falter, while the club remains cautious about his financial demands.
Barcelona continues to focus on signing Julián Álvarez, with plans to determine their next steps after the World Cup, while Vlahovic's name remains among potential options if the primary strategy to strengthen the attack does not succeed.
